新年的第一天除了日期改变，还有什么不同？上帝在这新的一年为我预备了什么？让我们来看如何能在新年有崭新的开始。

What changes on the first day of the New Year besides the date? What does God have in store for me in the new year? Let’s look at how we can have a Fresh Start in a New Year.

对我而言，圣诞节是一年中我最喜欢的季节。从历史的角度，圣诞节是上帝救赎计划的重大时刻。上帝道成肉身，为要舍命成为多人的赎价（以赛亚书9:6）。这意思是救主为我们降生（路加福2:11）！

Personally, Christmas is my favourite time of the year! Historically, Christmas marks a momentous point in redemptive history. It is God becoming man so that He might give His life as a ransom for many (Isaiah 9:6). It means unto us a Saviour is born (Luke 2:11)!

This will be the first Christmas when everyone is in town. I would like to share some ways we can celebrate Christmas meaningfully. As you consider them, let the Holy Spirit inspire you to think of other creative ways too.

在1991年8月，巴特礼基督教会开始在巴西立一个新的住宅区做外展事工，当时参与的有六个小组，共123名成人和75位儿童。在6个月内，我们又增加了一堂崇拜聚会。我们的小组也有增长。我的工作就是协助两位牧师 — 蓝柱国牧师和董聪明牧师统筹负责小组事工。

I was called into vocational (full-time) ministry at age 45.

In August 1991, Bartley Christian Church started an outreach extension in the new Pasir Ris estate with 123 adults and 75 children in 6 cell groups. Within 6 months, we started another worship service. Our cell groups also grew. I assisted our two pastors, Vincent Lun and Joseph Tang, to coordinate our cell network.

圣经从一开始就告诉我，职场是人们一起工作和反映神荣耀的地方（创世记1和2 章）。但是在这个堕落的世界，这么多人心里没有神，上帝能得荣耀吗？在跟随神的道路上，我发现若我把职场当作我的宣教工场，我就能与基督同工，为祂赢得灵魂来荣耀祂的名。

Right from the beginning, the Bible taught me that the workplace is where human beings labour together to reflect God’s glory (Genesis 1 and 2). However, in this fallen world, can God be glorified when many folks are living without God? In walking with God, I discovered that if I make my workplace my mission field, I can yoke with Christ to win souls for Him so that all shall glorify Him.
