Jonah had everything going for him – a successful career as a prophet and well-respected by the people. But God interrupted his life, commanding Jonah to walk on a path that did not make sense to him.
Like Jonah, we experience interruptions in our lives too. Good or bad, they shock us, shake us and compel us to change. Sometimes, they even cause us to wonder if God still cares. Though we wish to avoid them, every season of life seems to include a few. Like Jonah, we have a choice to make in the face of life’s interruptions – to run to Tarshish or to journey towards Nineveh.
This mini series centered on the book of Jonah will change our perspective on interruptions in our lives. As we dive into scripture, we will be challenged to obey and surrender to God fully in times of interruption. It is in our obedience and submission that we will experience the glory of who God is.
