NEW ON STAFF

We are delighted to welcome Esther Lau into RiverLife’s Staff Team as our new Head of Finance, HR and Corporate Administration. A true daughter of the house, Esther grew up in RiverLife and has served in various ministries over the years – from youth to young adults, and now with our SuperLife children. She is married to Nicholas Yeo, and they have two sons, Matthew (9) and Joshua (7). We thank God for calling her into this new season of leadership and service!

STAFF TEAM OPENINGS

  • We are looking for someone who is highly organised, trustworthy and has a heart to serve through financial stewardship. If that’s you, we would love to hear from you.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Handling daily bookkeeping and financial transactions

    • Supporting month-end and year-end closings

    • Assisting in budget monitoring and financial reporting

    • Ensuring proper documentation and financial compliance

    Requirements:

    • Diploma or Degree in Accountancy (or related field)

    • At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred

    • Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (preferably Xero)

    • Attention to details

    Key responsibilities include assisting the Head of SuperLife (SL) in:

    • Curriculum development

    • Guiding/leading/training the volunteer teachers and ministry leaders to run the weekly SL classes  

    • Vetting lesson plans and helping to prepare the Canva presentation slides when needed 

    • Overseeing the weekly Sunday’s operations   

    • Planning & organising events and other outreach programmes 

    • Communicating internally with different staff departments on weekly/church-wide events/programmes and externally with volunteer teachers/parents and vendors

    • Managing logistics and manpower allocation

    • Following up with newcomers and their parents 

    • Providing pastoral care and house visitation when necessary

    Requirements:

    • Diploma or a general Degree

    • 1-2 years experience of active involvement in children's ministry / working with children

    • Experience in events planning and management

    • Strong planning & organization and communication (written and spoken) skills

    • Effective interpersonal skills – able to influence and build relationship with varied groups of people (children, parents and volunteers)

  • This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth execution of youth services, events, and projects while fostering a culture of discipleship and community.     Key Responsibilities include:

    • Providing oversight and leadership across the different ministry teams

    • Overseeing and executing the weekly service operations and youth services

    • Managing the finance and budgeting needs of the youth department

    • Handling administrative tasks, logistics, and resource planning

    • Developing and maintaining the youth ministry calendar

    • Collaborating with other departments for corporate needs  

    • Leading projects/event planning and execution

    • Assembling and overseeing teams for ministry-related events and initiatives

    Requirements:

    • A general degree

    • 2-3 years of relevant experience in administration, operations and event planning

    • Experience in areas involving young people would be an advantage  

    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels

    • High level of initiative and a strong teamwork mindset.

  • We’re looking for a passionate creative who believes in the power of visuals to lead in the design efforts for all our online & onsite communication channels. This person must be able to create compelling content that flows out from a loving relationship with God.

    Key responsibilities include working closely with the Head of Communications in:

    • Ideating and conceptualising art direction for projects aligned to pastoral & ministry objectives taking into consideration different stakeholders’ feedback and needs.  

    • Producing visual content for our weekly services and corporate gatherings.

    • Producing design deliverables to meet year-round ministry needs.

    • Coordinating and liaising with printers and suppliers to ensure deliverables are completed on time and within budget.

    • Managing our Instagram & Facebook social media platforms: Plan monthly social media content calendar, collaborate with various stakeholders to create content and ensure timely delivery of content.

    • Creating social media reels and posts as a timely expression of church life through how God is speaking to us & what He is doing amongst us.

    Requirements:

    • Related Diploma / Degree in Visual Communications or Graphic Design

    • At least 2 years of relevant work experience in Graphic Design or design-related roles

    • Experience in producing a Communications project from start to end, including Conceptualisation, Translation of concept into Mood Board for pitching, Execution according to allocated budget, ensuring deliverables are produced and distributed in a timely manner

    • Strong communication, collaboration & presentation skills

    • Creative and innovative, always thinking about fresh ways the church can stay relevant and connected to the world

    • Meticulous and able to listen to needs of various stakeholders

    • Proficient in Canva, Squarespace, Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator

    • Possess good knowledge of the fast-changing Social Media landscape

    • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and agile in responding to changes and tight timelines
