RiverLife 35th Anniversary — A Gift For Our King
A GIFT FOR OUR KING
As part of our 35th Anniversary weekend, we spent a night on Fri, 14 Aug gathered in the presence of our King Jesus. We meditated on John 12:1-8 and through it we saw Mary offering a very expensive gift of perfume (worth a year’s wage) to Jesus as her appreciation for all that the Lord had done for her and family. In similar ways, the Lord is also prompting each of us to give Him something that’s of worth, in appreciating all that He has done for us individually. This love gift may involve our time, talent, finances or a combination of them.
Let us give something that is of worth to our Lord Jesus!
“Then Mary took a pound of very costly oil of spikenard, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped His feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil.” – John 12:3
A GIFT OF OUR FINANCES
This financial gift is a one-time love offering that is above our regular tithing. It is part of us celebrating 35 years of God’s faithfulness. All contributions will be used to strengthen our Missions and Community Outreach efforts so that we can shine even more brightly for Christ.
