Get Baptised

Who should be baptised?
a. All who have received Christ as Lord and Savior
"Those who accepted his message were baptised," (Acts 2:41)
b. The minimum age for baptism in our church is 12 years
In order to be sure that a person understands the meaning of baptism, we only baptise children after they have reached the age of 12.
If a person was baptised as an infant and have been confirmed, our church recognizes the baptism as the entire baptism process was completed. If a person was baptised as an infant but have not been confirmed as yet, he or she is required to be baptised in order to be an Associate Member of this church.
Those aged 12 to 16 are minors, hence they are required to obtain parental blessing for their baptism.
c. Be baptised as soon as possible
If a person has received Christ as Lord and Savior and is above 12 years of age, he or she should get baptised as soon as possible.
"As they traveled along the road, they came to some water and the eunuch said, "Look, here is water. Why shouldn't I be baptised?" And he gave orders to stop the chariot. Then both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water and Philip baptized him" (Acts 8:36-38)
Believers often feel that they are not ready for baptism. When one thinks that way, he or she is actually saying that salvation is dependant on works. The truth is it has nothing to do with what a person does. It is totally dependant on the finished work of Christ on the cross. Believers often want to wait until they are "good enough". They will never be good enough if they go by what they do. But if a person go by what Christ has done, he or she is already good enough.
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast." (Ephesians 2:7-10)
