Father Of Nations

David Brymer shared on what he had sensed from the Lord during camp and shared it with the congregation. He spoke about Abraham, the father of nations and took reference from the passage in Genesis 22 on the sacrifice of his son, Isaac.

He shared about how Abraham was given this name even before Isaac came. Abraham was set apart and was loyal to God (2 Chronicles 16:9). He shared about having faith in the waiting upon God’s promise even though it tarries.

Abraham’s faith was tested when he was instructed to sacrifice Isaac at the mountain. Abraham’s love for God was more than his love for God’s promises. He obeyed. It was also the first time “worship” was mentioned in the Bible (Genesis 22:5).

David Brymer also shared about the provision of a ram when Abraham was tested and found faithful. Though Isaac was God’s promise to Abraham, Abraham trusted God and was faithful in obedience.
